These three are great, and are all equally as good, so tame them up ASAP. Doedics can help you build Adobe for your base, and collect stone to help your Megatherium with cementing paste, Ankys with help you gather metal for almost everything mid-late game and build your metal defences, and with how much wood you’ll need for base building/saddles/charcoal making, in addition to having a Smithy saddle? Yeah you gotta tame up a Thorny Dragon. so when using a Mantis to farm, be sure that you have a certain feathered friend to help you transport those valuables. pretty much anything with tools! I like to farm Crystal with them using Mastercraft picks, although they lack the weight. so you have 2 options, you can use a sickle to farm fibre, or you can tame a Mantis and get fibre for days, I like to choose the second option.Īside from fibre though? Mantids can be great for collecting. Scorched Earth doesn’t have Theris, or Bears. On Scorched Earth, you don’t have access to the two easiest sources of Cementing Paste, Beaver Dams and Frogs, so you’re gonna want something that can gather as much Chitin as possible for your paste.Īs for Deathworms, breed up some high damage Megatherium and throw a good quality saddle on it, rush to the Sands, kill a Mantis for the bug buff, and you’ll shred those shitty worms like paper, horns for days! Since Scorched doesn’t have Trikes or Stegos, I highly recommend taming a herd of these guys up, they’ll help you out early game with their water storage and berry gathering to craft your narcotics, and they do.

Plus if you need to get away from a Carno you could always- eh we won’t get into that. Now this loyal friend is probably the first thing you will tame while on Scorched Earth, being a quick and easy tame as well as an ok shoulder pet throughout the game, they provide some good utility by warning you about storms too, personally I like to tame up a bunch of Jerboas early game, and breed them up.
